A Warm Welcome to Ash Bowls Club.

As Chair of Ash Bowling Club, it's my pleasure to welcome you to our club's website. Whether you are a seasoned bowler or a newcomer curious to try the sport, you'll find a warm and friendly community here.

We are a flourishing club with 70+ members and still growing. Newcomers to the village and surrounding areas have joined us to ‘get to know people’. We always welcome new members who have the opportunity to make friends, learn how to bowl and generally have fun. We place great emphasis on friendship and fun.

Ash Bowls Club held it first bowling match on Tuesday 16th June 1911 and our club has a proud history of promoting the sport of both flat green and short mat bowling while fostering camaraderie and great sportsmanship. We offer regular social games, Dover League, friendly matches against other local clubs, as well as both internal and open competitions, Tournaments and coaching sessions to suit all skill levels.

The club has a modern pavilion, six outdoor bowling rinks and ample car parking for members and visiting club players. The green is maintained by members allowing the club to offer competitive annual membership costs. Short mat bowling is available all year round in the pavilion.  Members of any standard can bowl socially with club organised games and competitions. Beginners only need to bring flat soled shoes to enjoy indoor short mat bowling.

The club offers regular social get togethers throughout the year, with a packed calendar including BBQs, Pop-Up Cafes, an Annual Presentation evening, bingo, quiz nights and fun evenings.

We are actively recruiting new members at present and would love to hear from you.
You can contact us through this website, email us via [email protected] or simply pop down to the club to speak to us - we'd love to meet you.
