Doreen Underhill 2026

Ash Bowling Club was proud to host the Doreen Underhill Ladies Open Triples Tournament on Saturday, 6th June, and what a wonderful day it turned out to be. 22 teams were competing, the atmosphere was lively and full of competitive spirit. Despite some really poor weather, all competitors had a fantastic tournament enjoyed by all.

Huge congratulations to the winning team from Walpole Bay Bowling Club—Janette Plummer, Sue Sear, and Sue Ansell—who played superbly to claim victory. Runners-up were Carly Chown, Mandy Moses, and Michelle Bosson from Aylesham, putting up a strong fight throughout the day. Lynn Tyler, Jan Patis and Hazel Davey from the Civil Service came third.

None of this would have been possible without the dedication of everyone who contributed to the event’s success—those involved in planning, organising, catering, bar service, cleaning, tidying up and re-laying the short mat. Their hard work ensured another hugely successful tournament for Ash Bowling Club.

Thank you to all the players and supporters who made the day special—we look forward to welcoming you back in 2027!
